SankofaDot.Com is family ran and operated e-commerce website. A website created out of a family’s desire to share its love and respect of African art, history culture, and décor.

Our president and chief operations officer Lela Jefferson, is a second generation appreciator and collector of Africa Art and Handicrafts. Who has traveled to the “Motherland” to obtain a greater knowledge of African art and culture. She is also a former student of Pennsylvania State University’s African and African American Studies bachelorate program.

SankofaDot.Com’s appraiser and business advisor Ray Jefferson is an interior designer. He has over 40+ years of entrepreneurship experience in the areas of interior, architectural, and furniture design. As a designer he has traveled to Africa a number of times for research. Ray is also an inventor and author.

Our collections are forever expanding. The African masks and statues in our main collection were craved by African craftsmen and are of collector quality. We also offer contemporary African inspired items and handicrafts of an equal caliber. Once shipped, listed items are immediately removed from the website. Each article shipped (from our in-house inventory) includes a customized informational index card, complete with the tribal/regional history of the piece.
